Installing the Printer and Drivers

HTTP . As you set the printer’s IP address, also set the gateway address
as described in the earlier topic “Setting the printer’s IP address using
the front panel” on page 2-38.

FTP . An ftp session is opened with the ftp command, followed by the
printer's IP address. The put command is used to send the file
sample-file.ps to the printer. The bye command terminates the
connection.

put sample-file.ps
bye

Telnet . If the printer is to be used with standard TELNET clients, the
DataPortNumber parameter must be set to 23 decimal (23 is the
default).
