NVRAM
Resetting Print Engine NVRAM
Resetting the print engine NVRAM returns many of the engine control
NVRAM-stored settings to their factory default values.
Caution
When servicing the printer, before turning on the printer, you
should always make sure that the head tilt cam gear is latched by
the head tilt solenoid and that the head tilt cam gear is disengaged
(via its missing teeth) to the drive gear.
1.
Start the PC diagnostics as explained in the topic “PC-based
diagnostics” on page 6-24.
2. Scroll to the menu item NVRAM/PE ROM. Press the right arrow key
to display the list of NVRAM tests.
