Paper-pick adjustment
This adjustment ensures that the paper pick is at the correct angle for picking a
sheet of media from the paper tay. Make this adjustment anytime the paper pick
roller is removed and replaced.
1. Remove the left cover of the printer.
2. Remove the paper tray from the printer.
3. Position the paper pick alignment tool under the paper pick roller.
Note the front orientation of the tool marked “F.” The paper pick
roller should rotate slightly between the two positions denoted by the
alignment tools.
4. If an adjustment is needed, loosen the paper pick solenoid clutch
assembly’s three mounting screws and rotate it so the flat edge of the
cam-shaped pick roller is positioned between the two points of the
fixture as illustrated.
