General Information
Media sensing
Three sets of sensors detect the size and type of media loaded in the Universal
tray. A set of sensors determine the position of a the flag mounted on the side of
the media tray, indicating the type of media in the tray. Another set of sensors,
on the media size board, detect the position of the paper back stop to determine
the length of the media. The media width sensor laterally scans the media to
measure the width of the media once it is picked.
