5. In the same pull down menu, set PC Memory to Expanded
Memory of 0 MB
and an Extended Memory of 1 MB.
6. Connect to the directory containing the desired version diagnostic
software. Launch the diagnostics program by typing DIAGS xxx
(where xxx is the engine ROM version). Once launched, the program
repeatedly attempts to communicate with the printer. The link status
indicator, in the bottom-right corner of the screen, reads “NO” until
this link is established; once communication is established, it reads
“OK.”
