Adjusting the image position (margins)
This adjustment allows you to set the margins of the printed image on a sheet of
paper.
1.
Turn on the printer and allow it to warm up to its normal operating
condition.
2.
Set the front panel menu item Print Quality to Standard.
3.
Load the paper tray with a stack of quality, Letter-size or A4-size
paper.
4.
Scroll to the extended service support menu by first scrolling to the
front panel menu item Service Support and then pressing buttons 1
and 4 together.
5.
Scroll to the menu item Calibrate Paper Margins. At the sub-menu
item Select Media Size, choose the selected size of paper in the paper
tray, Letter or A4.
6.
At the sub-menu item Margin Page, press Print.
Note
Do not make any more prints until this procedure has been completed.
7.
Examine the test print and note the cross printed on the page.
Measure the top, bottom left and right margins from each tip of the
cross ends to the corresponding edges of the paper. Nominal values
are printed near the crosstips to indicate approximate values you
should measure. (The measurement you make should be accurate
within 0.2 mm)
