INSTRUMENT PANEL

COMPONENT OPERATION AND SERVICING
Description
The ind icato r and instru men t lig ht bulbs are
the on ly serviceable compon ents o f th e
instru men t pan el.
If any other part of th e instrument p anel is
found to be defectiv e, the in stru men t panel
mu st b e replaced as a unit.

1. Proof M eter
- The proof meter indicates
hours of operation for the tractor en gine.
Units are expressed on the meter to tenths
of an hour (6 minu tes). Th e proof meter
is used as a guide to d etermine hou rs of
service and mainten an ce intervals.
NOTE:
Th e p roof meter is not serviceable
and the instrument pan el must be replaced if
the meter is defective.

Tempera ture Gauge
- The temperature
gauge indicates engine coolant
temperature.
The temperature g auge is activ ated when
the key switch is turn ed to the
"ON/HEAT/STA RT" position , as battery
cu rren t is being supplied to th e g auge.
Normal engine op erating temperature is
ind icated as th e white region o f the gauge.
The red portion of th e g auge indicates an
engine overheating cond ition . This is to
alert th e operator to stop the tracto r
engine and investig ate a possib le engine
malfunction , shou ld the gaug e n eedle
en ter the red portion.

Fuel
Gaug e
- The fu el gauge indicates
th e amount of diesel fuel in the tracto r
fuel tank.
The fuel gauge is activated .
when the k ey switch is turn ed to th e
"ON /HEAT/START" position, as battery
current is being supp lied to the gaug e.

4. Glow Plug Indicator Light
-
T he glow
plug indicator light will illu minate
when th e key switch is in the "HEAT"
and "STA RT" po sitions, ind icating the
engine g low plugs are energized and
heating th e tractor engine co mbustion
ch amb ers. The indicato r light will stay
illumin ated for four (4) seconds when
the key switch is in the "HEAT"
position and remains illu minated when
the k ey sw itch is turned to the "START"
position .
