2. Description
A. T h e charg ing circuit and internal connection are show n in Fig. 595Y. The chargin g sy stem
consists of an I C reg ulator bu ilt in al ternator, a battery and connecting wires. Because of
the use of IC, the voltag e regulator is very compact and is bu ilt in to the altern ator.
B. T h e field current flows directly fro m the d iode trio to th e field coil with out passing
through the ex ternal circuit. Bu t to h elp th e initial voltage built up when th e engin e is
started , the field curren t is supplied through the i ndicato r lamp fro m the battery.
C. S in ce the frequency pulse outpu t of 1/10 the altern ator sp eed develops on P terminal, this
terminal is used for speed d etection.
