GLOW LAMP TIMER
Description and Lo catio n
The g low plug ind icato r light ti mer is an
electronic ti mer that is located under th e
engine cov er on the righ t side of th e tractor
firewall. The timer con trols how long th e
glow plug indicator lig ht on th e instrument
panel remai ns illumin ated when the key
switch is in the “HEAT” p osition
(approximat ely 4
～ 5 secon ds). Th e g low
plug indicator ligh t timer does no t control
current to the glow p lugs, on ly cu rren t to th e
indicator light on the instrument p anel. Th e
timer turns the indicator light o ff by opening
the circu it to th e light on th e instrument
panel.

Operation Testing
1. D isconn ect the neg ativ e (-) battery cable
from th e b attery.
2. Remov e th e bolt retaining th e light timer
to the tracto r and disconnect th e timer
from th e main wiring h arness.
NOTE:
The terminals are not nu mber or letter coded
on the light tim er.
3. C o nnect a ju mp er wire from t erminal
"C" on th e timer, 1, to the positive ( +)
terminal o f a 12-volt power supply.
4. Co nnect a test light, 2, from terminal
"A" of th e t imer, 1, to the positive (+)
terminal o f a 12-volt power supply.
5. C o nnect a ju mp er wire from t erminal
"D" of th e t imer, 1, to the n egative (-)
terminal of the 12-vo lt power supp ly.
Observe the test light, 2.
6. Th e test light should illuminate fo r
approx imately 4 ～ 5 seconds and then
turn off. I f th e test light fails to
illuminate or does not turn off after 4
～
5 seconds, t he timer is defective and
need s replaced .
7. Connect the neg ativ e ( － ) battery cable
to th e b attery.
