2) Inspection
(1) Bearing
Replace if excessive play or other abnormalities are
noticed.
(2) Gear backlash
Replace the gear if the service limit is exceeded.

(3) Clearance between shifter fork and slide gear
Replace shifter fork and slide gear if the service limit
is exceeded.

(4) Differential
1. Check each gear and replace it if damage is
significant.
2. Replace the thrust washers of the differential gear
and differential pinion if the service limit is
exceeded.
