COMBINATION SWITCH
DESCRIPTION
Hazard Light Switch Description
The co mbination switch is located on the
left-h and side of th e dashboard.
T h e
combination switch consists of hazard light
switch , flasher light switch and horn switch.
The hazard and flasher switch, 1, are dial
switch and horn switch is a push
button
switch . T h e two positions of th e h azard
light sw itch are ON and OFF. W hen th e
hazard ligh t switch is in the "ON" position,
th e flash er/warning lights on the fend ers will
operate.
NOTE: Th e hazard ligh ts can b e activated
with the key switch in the "OFF" position .
Flasher Light Switch Description
The three positions of th e flash er light
switch are OFF, Right turn and Left tu rn.
When the flasher light switch is in the
“ Righ t ” or “ Left ” turn position , the flash er
lights on th e fender and instrument panel
will op erate.
Ho rn Sw itch D escriptio n
The horn sw itch is push ed ON ty pe switch .
When the ho rn switch is push ed, horn circu it
is co mp lete and alar m the horn .
Combination Sw itch R emoval
Remove th e instrument panel to g ain access
to the co mbin ation switch. To remo ve th e
switch , unplug it fro m the h arness, release
th e retain ing tabs, and lift the switch o ut o f
th e instrument p anel from th e top .
A. Ha za rd Light Sw itch Testing
Use an ohmmeter to test th e h azard light
switch .
1.
With th e switch in the "O FF" position ,
there will not be con tinuity between any
of the ter minals.
2.
With th e switch in th e "ON" position ,
there will be con tinuity betw een
terminals GW, RB and GR.
If test results are not as ou tlined above,
replace th e comb in ation switch .
