RELAY FOR GLOW LAMP
Description
Relay for g low lamps is installed backside o f
the fuse blocks and top side of the safety
start relay.
Glow lamp relay is th e same part with safety
start relay and h azard lamp relay, and are
interchang eable.
R e lay testing is as same as safety start relay.
9) DIODE FOR HST CIRCUIT
HST only
Description
D i od e for HST circu it is installed left side o f
the steerin g column in th e dash board . T h is
is a single diode in the case, and th e other
description s and testing s are referred to
brake sw itch diode.

FUEL SHUTOFF SOLENOID
Description and Lo catio n
The fuel sh uto ff soleno id, 1, is lo cated on
the righ t side of th e engine, thread ed into th e
rear of the fuel injection pump, 2. The fuel
shu toff solenoid contains a spring-loaded
plung er that pushes the injection pump
control rack to the closed (shut-off) position
when th e solenoid is not energ ized.
W h en
the key sw itch is turn ed to th e "ON" o r
"START" position, th e safety sto p relay
closes completing the circuit th at en ergizes
the solenoid. This retracts the plunger from
the injection pu mp , and th e injection pu mp
control rack moves into the position that
allows the engine to start.
