21) ELECTRIC CRUISE CONTROL
SWITCH (HST Model only)
Description and Lo catio n
The electric cruise control switch, 1 , is
located to the right
fend er.
The cruise control sw itch controls current to
cruise control magn et. Cru ise contro l is used
to maintain th e tracto r at a constant speed
forward.
When the cruise control switch is pushed
from th e “off” position to th e
“ set ” position ,
the contro l circu it of the cruise con tro l,
relay is energized.
T h is closes (completes)
the function circuit o f the relay, which
supplies power to the cruise control magn et.
When the cruise control switch is released
from th e "ON" position , the switch rockers
to the "ON" position, which keeps the cruise
control activated until th e switch is pushed
to the "OFF" position or the b rake
pedals are
depressed . Current to the cruise con trol relay
is interrupted when both brake sw itches are
engag ed, which deactivates the cruise
control mag net.
The cruise contro l swit ch is equipp ed with
an ind icator light th at will illuminate when
the switch is moved to the "SET" and "ON"
position, indicating the cruise contro l has
been activated .
Removal
1. Disconn ect the negativ e (-) battery cable
from th e b attery.
2. Disconn ect th e w irin g harn ess connecto r
from th e cru ise con trol switch .
3. Push the switch out o f the adapter.
