Normal Communications Mode
If the Normal communications mode is selected, data can be output
in normal format to an external device via the RS-232C port.

I/O via the RS-232C Port
A timeout error occurs if there is no response from the host computer
within the set time when RS/CS or Xon/off is selected for flow control,
and it is assumed that the line is broken or the computer is not work-
ing correctly. An ERR (error) message appears on the screen, and
the error terminal turns ON.
