Tools - EDS File - Create
The EDS files are required by the CX-Integrator to create a network configuration. To
create an EDS file, use the following procedure.
1. Select
EDS File and Create .
The following window will be displayed.
2. Set the device information and I/O information.
The device information can be obtained from the device on the network if the
network is online.
3. To read the information, click the
Upload from Device Button. The following
window will be displayed.
4. Set the node address of the device and click the
OK Button.
For the I/O connections and I/O size of the device, refer to the operation manual of
the device.
5. Click the
OK Button.
The device will be added to the Hardware List.
Note Device parameters cannot be set with the EDS file creation function of the
CX-Integrator. Obtain a proper EDS file from the manufacturer of the device to make
device parameter settings for the device.
