The DNP / IEC 60870-5-104 point lists always begin with point 0 and end at the first “Off” value. Since DNP / IEC
60870-5-104 point lists must be in one continuous block, any points assigned after the first “Off” point are ignored.
Changes to the DNP / IEC 60870-5-104 point lists will not take effect until the F60 is restarted.

COMMUNICATIONS
IEC 61850 PROTOCOL
The F60 Feeder Protection System is provided with optional IEC 61850 communications capability. This
feature is specified as a software option at the time of ordering. See the
Order Codes
section in chapter 2
for details.
IEC 61850 messaging can form part of protection schemes. Consider 61850 settings with the same criticality as
protection element settings. To ensure reliable performance of protection schemes utilizing 61850 messaging, it
can be desirable to route 61850 traffic on a separate port from SCADA communications, or to use redundant, inde-
pendent ports, and a high speed network recovery method, such as PRP.
The F60 supports the Manufacturing Message Specification (MMS) protocol as specified by IEC 61850. MMS is supported
over two protocol stacks: TCP/IP over Ethernet. The F60 operates as an IEC 61850 server. The
Remote Inputs and Out-
puts
section in this chapter describe the peer-to-peer GSSE/GOOSE message scheme.
The EnerVista software includes an interface that is compatible with firmware versions 5.0 to 7.2 to configure subscribers.
Use the Simplified GOOSE Configurator in the Offline Window area.
