1.3ENERVISTA UR SETUP SOFTWARE
1.3.1 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
The relay front panel or the EnerVista UR Setup software can be used to communicate with the relay. The software inter-
face is the preferred method to edit settings and view actual values because the computer monitor can display more infor-
mation.
The minimum system requirements for the EnerVista UR Setup software are as follows:
•
Pentium 4 (Core Duo recommended)
•
Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (Service Pack 3 recommended), Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 Release 2
64-bit
•
1 GB of RAM (2 GB recommended)
•
500 MB free hard drive space (1 GB recommended)
•
1024 x 768 display (1280 x 800 recommended)
•
Serial port
•
Ethernet port of the same type as one of the UR CPU ports or a LAN connection to the UR
•
Internet access or a DVD drive
The following qualified modems have been tested to be compatible with the F60 and the EnerVista UR Setup software:
•
US Robotics external 56K FaxModem 5686
•
US Robotics external Sportster 56K X2
•
PCTEL 2304WT V.92 MDC internal modem
1.3.2 INSTALLATION
After ensuring that the requirements for using EnerVista UR Setup software are met, install the software from the GE
EnerVista DVD. Or download the UR EnerVista software from
http://www.gegridsolutions.com/multilin
and install it.
To install the UR EnerVista software from the DVD:
1.
Insert the GE EnerVista DVD into the DVD drive of your computer.
2.
Click the
Install Now
button and follow the instructions.
3.
When installation is complete, start the EnerVista Launchpad application.
4.
Click the
IED Setup
section of the
Launch Pad
window.

In the EnerVista Launch Pad window, click the
Add Product
button and select the appropriate product as follows.
