Connecting with DUT
When DUT is Optical Receiver:
Use the Option 051 and follow the connection procedures.
1. Connect the PPG2 Data Out and Tx Data In using a coaxial cable.
2. Connect the DUT input connector to the Optical transceiver using
an optical fiber.
3. Connect the DUT output connector to ED2 Data In and
Data
In
using a coaxial cable.
If only one DUT output connect is conveniently available, connect to
ED2 Data In. Do not connect anything to
Data
In.
4. Connect the coaxial terminator provided with the BERTWave to
ED2
Data
In.
CAUTION
Check that the output power for the optical module
inserted with the Option 051 is within the input level range
for the DUT.
There is a risk of damaging the DUT if the optical power
out of the input level range is applied.
