4.9 Actions to Take When System Alarm Occurs
The following phenomena cause a system alarm.
Power
Abnormal power supply
The Power alarm is displayed when this system detects a low internal
voltage.
The BERTWave shuts down automatically after this alarm is displayed.
Before using this instrument, check that the voltage of the power supply
meets the voltage specifications. If the voltage of the power supply is
within specifications and the Power alarm is displayed, contact Anritsu
or your sales agent.
PPG/ED Fatal Temperature
Eye/Pulse Scope Fatal Temperature
High temperature warning (Temperature, Fatal Temperature)
When the internal temperature reaches 90°C, the temperature alarm is
displayed.
When Fatal Temperature is displayed, the power of the BERTWave is
shut down.
Verify that the ventilation openings are unobstructed and that the fan is
running. Turn off the unit and allow the temperature to cool down.
EYE/Pulse Scope Temperature
EYE/Pulse Scope calibration is necessary. Calibrate it according to
Section 7.5 “Calibrating Sampling Oscilloscope”.
