6.17.5.1
Controls on the External Ports Tab
The buttons in the "External Ports" panel open the following dialogs:

"Define Ports...", see

"Switch Matrix...", see

●
Chapter 6.17.5.5, "Switch Matrix RF Connections Dialog"
"RF Connections" is enabled if at least one switch matrix is configured.
Optimization
Allows you to select between different switch matrix routing optimizations:
●
"Speed" – switch as little as possible
●
"Precision" – always use the best possible route in terms of quality ("priority")

ground information.
The selection is only enabled, if at least one of the connected switch matrices has mul-
tiple routes with non-identical priorities.

Define Physical Ports Dialog
Allows you to redefine the physical VNA ports (see
Chapter 5.3.1.2, "Redefined S-
Access:
SYSTEM – [SETUP] > "External Ports" > "Define Ports..."
●
Redefined physical ports are global, persistent settings, i.e. they are valid for all
recall sets. A [PRESET] does not reset the physical port configuration.
●
Redefining physical ports causes a factory reset.
The factory reset deletes all switch matrix RF connections.
