START AND FORMATION OF THE BALE
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Insufficient bale density. Low pressure. Increase the working pressure.
Irregular pick-up feed. Feed the chamber uniformly on both
sides.
Poor hold of the seals on the bale
pressure jacks. Replace the seals of the jacks and
tighten the hydraulic fittings.
Belts of different lengths. Dismantle the belts and check that they
are of identical length.
Feed speed too high. Reduce the feed speed.
Bale in the form of a barrel or truncated
cone. The forage is collected and brought
only to the centre. For single swathes load the right and
left following the indications on the
terminal.
Swathe too narrow. Reform the swathe making it wider,
fuller and more square.
The bale stops turning. The torque limiter of the cardan shaft
intervenes. The maximum bale diameter has been
exceeded.
Reset the torque limiter of the cardan
shaft (follow the instructions described
in the cardan shaft manual).
Belt stretcher arm rollers blocked. Check the bearings of the rollers.
Excessive loss of leaves. Shredding or fragmentation of very dry
forage. Increase the work speed and reduce
the PTO speed while baling.
The forage wraps around the drive
rollers.
Humidity of the forage too high.
The forage must be conditioned, bale
when the humidity is quite low.
The scraper of the roller is not adjusted
well or is worn. Adjust or replace the scraper.
The belts forming the bale break and
the clinches give way. Presence of foreign bodies in the
forage. Check and if necessary replace or
repair the belts.
The belts are not aligned correctly. Adjust the belt guiders and/or rollers of
the tailgate.
The bale has exceeded the maximum
diameter allowed. Check the adjustment end of strokes of
the bale diameter.
Check that the electrical system,
cables of the machine, connection
cables to the tractor, indicators and
acoustic signal are working.
The chains jump over the teeth of the
gears. The stretchers are loose. Stretch the chains by adjusting the
stretchers.
The gears or chains are worn. Replace the gears or the chains.
The bale diameter does not
correspond to the value set.
The potentiometer has lost its
synchronisation.
Contact your dealer for re-phasing of
the potentiometer.
