CLEARING THE ROTOR E (HTR, HTC, HTU)
An excessive volume of the product is blocked between the rotor and the collection channel.
The automatic baler has a device to avoid clogging of the product during the product feeding phase.
If an excessive amount of product clogs the feeding channel, the PTO shaft overload clutch will automatically
disengage and make a clearly audible noise.
In this case:
•
Models HTC and HTU the tractor PTO must be immediately disengaged and the tape lowered by using the
“ICON” control system terminal and the tractor selector lever (tape lowered closed).
Remove the knives if they are in the chamber.
Model HTR the tractor PTO must be immediately disengaged and the tape lowered by using the tractor
selector lever (tape lowered closed).
Restart the tractor PTO again at a low speed and slowly increase up to 540rpm '(without ever exceeding 610rpm').
In this way the product accumulations can be easily conveyed to the outside of the bale chamber.
After having solved the obstruction of the feed channel:
•
Models HTC and HTU: the tape must be returned to start position by using the “ICON” control system terminal
and the tractor selector lever.
•
Model HTR: the tape must be returned to start position by using the tractor selector lever.
NOTE: Remember that, if they are not being used, the knives must be returned to rest position after closing the
tape.
More information relative to the moving of the tape and engagement or disengagement of the knives can be found
under “ICON CONTROL SYSTEM / MENU / MANUAL MODE / CUT”.
Only after completing the operations described above, re-engage the tractor PTO and continue working

POTENTIAL SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH.
Never use any kind of tool or key on the shaft while the tractor engine is running.
Never approach the rotating parts of the pick-up and maintain a safe distance when the tractor is on.
Never attempt to remove forage from the machine while it is moving.
If the clogging of the feed channel is not solved with the procedure described above, proceed by manually
unclogging the product.

POTENTIAL CRUSHING OR SHEARING OF THE LIMBS.
POTENTIAL SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH.
If your machine is equipped with a cutting system (HTC, HTU), take great care in performing these
operations as the area of the rotor is very dangerous due to the presence of cutting knives.
Wear gloves and protective clothing, and with the help of suitable tools free the area blocked by the
product.
If necessary to remove the collection channel plate, consult the paragraph “FEEDER PLATE”.
