CUTTER SYSTEM (HTC, HTU)
If your machine is provided with a cutter system, 13 knives (HTC) or 25 knives (HTU), you will have the option of
cutting the product while picking up the swathes.
Using the control terminal “ICON”, the knives must be engaged in the chamber in order to be able to cut.
More information relative to the engagement or disengagement of the knives can be found in the chapter: “ICON
CONTROL SYSTEM / MENU / MANUAL MODE / CUT”.

Cutting length wity 13 knives is 77mm (0ft 3.03in)
•
Cutting length wity 25 knives is 45mm (0ft 1.77in)
If you wish to cut a longer product it is necessary to remove some of the knives.
Further information regarding the adjustment, replacement and maintenance of the knives can be found in the
chapter “MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE CUTTER”.
DETERMINATION OF THE BALE CORE TYPE
The “ICON” system allows you to set the diameter and the density of the bale core on the basis of the forage type
and your process needs.
It’s possible to start creating the bale with a bale core diameter more or less soft (Variable geometry®)
There are three choices:

bale with soft core
•
bale with pre-chamber core
•
bale with hard core
If you select the soft bale core and pre-chamber bale core you must also set the value of the core diameter.
The system will not allow you to set a core diameter larger than the bale diameter that you have set.

CHOOSING THE WORKING PRESSURE
The “ICON” control system allows you to set the pressure with which you intend to work.
The choice of the work pressure depends on the bale density desired, and it can be increased for dry products or
decreased for humid products.
The bale density measurer indicates the pressure exerted on the jacks
When the hatch is closed and the chamber empty the pressure is set at chamber pre-load.
IMPORTANT!
The pressure must never exceed 210 bar (3047.1psi).
Exceeding maximum pressing pressure damages the machine! In this case, contact your dealership.
