: It means that it need not be set. Whatever value it is, it dose not affect circular interpolation.
Remark
(1) Radius specified circular interpolation is executed on the basis of the items set on main axis operating data.
When it is executed, only
「
Target position
」
among sub axis items can affect circular interpolation. In other
words, whatever value is set as, it does not affect the action and no errors arise. But, coordinate setting of sub-
axis control method means whether target position is absolute coordinate or incremental coordinate. So in case
of circular interpolation control by incremental coordinate method, set the coordinate of sub-
axis as “Incremental”
too.
(2) When setting the circular interpolation auxiliary point (radius) of main-axis, it must be bigger than the half of
the length between starting position and goal position. When it is smaller than the (R), if the value is higher than
80% of R, circular interpolation which has middle point between starting position and target position as center-
point is executed, and if the value is lower than 80% of R, error (error code:270) arises and circular interpolation
is not executed.
