13.1 Periodically Replaced Parts
13.1.1 Overview

Some parts of the machine must be replaced on a periodical basis to ensure a specific level of machine
performance. (They are likely to affect the performance once they fail even in the absence of external
change or damage.)
Whenever possible, plan their replacement so that it will coincide with a scheduled service visit.
The values indicated are estimates only and are subject to change according to the site environment and
usage habit.
- Checking the Timing of Replacement
You can check the timing of replacement in service mode:
COPIER > COUNTER > PRDC-1

* Old type (full plated type) may not be used.
After replacing the charging wire, be sure to execute wire cleaning in service mode: COPIER > FUNC-
TION > CLEANING > WIRE-CLN.
* After the work, be sure to move the cleaning holder manually toward the front before putting the
charging assembly back into the machine.
13.2 Durables and Consumables
13.2.1 Overview

Some parts of the machine may have to be replaced once or more over the warranty period of the product
because of deterioration or damage. Replace them when they have failed.
