3) Disconnect the connector [1], and free the claw
to detach the left deck feed sensor [2].

When removing the scanner sensor, be sure to re-
move the paint used to lock the claw in place in
advance to prevent breaking the claw. When
mounting it, be sure the claw is not displaced or
the sensor is not disoriented.
8.11.22.8 Removing the Horizontal
Registration Motor

1) Remove the duplexing unit from the main
body.
2) Remove the two screws [1], and detach the
upper cover [2].

3) Disconnect the connector [3], and remove the
screw [4]; then, detach the horizontal
registration motor [5].

1) Remove the duplexing unit from the main
body.
2) Remove the front cover.
3) Remove the two set screws [2] to detach the
locking ring [1]; then, disconnect the connector
[3], and detach the clutch [4]. (Be sure to
perform this for each pair.)

When fixing the lock ring in place, be sure that it
is perpendicular in relation to the D-cut face and
one of the 2 set screws.

1) Remove the duplexing unit from the main
body.
2) Remove the front cover.
3) Disconnect the connector [1], and remove the
two screws [2]; then, detach the latch plate [3].
