Redundancy Mode

Determines whether the device switches from a redundant proxy to the
primary proxy when the primary proxy becomes available again.

= Not configured (Default). Proxy redundancy method is according
to the settings of the global parameter, ProxyRedundancyMode.

Parking = The device continues operating with the redundant (now
active) proxy even if the primary proxy returns to service. If the
redundant proxy subsequently becomes unavailable, the device
operates with the next configured redundant proxy.

Homing = The device always attempts to operate with the primary
proxy. The device switches back to the primary proxy whenever it
becomes available.
Note:
To enable this functionality, you must also enable the Proxy Keep-Alive
feature (see the 'Proxy Keep-Alive' parameter in this table).
The
Homing
option can only be used if the 'Proxy Keep-Alive'
parameter is set to

Proxy Hot Swap

Swap]
Enables the Proxy Hot-Swap feature, whereby the device switches to a
redundant proxy upon a failure in the primary proxy (no response is
received).

Disable = (Default) Disables the Proxy Hot-Swap feature. If a failure
occurs in the primary proxy, the device does not connect with any other
address (proxy) configured for the Proxy Set.

Enable = The device sends SIP INVITE/REGISTER messages to
the first address listed in the Proxy Address table that is configured for
the Proxy Set. If a SIP response is received and this response code is
configured in the Alternative Routing Reasons table (see Configuring
SIP Response Codes for Alternative Routing Reasons on page 690) for
SBC, or in the Reasons for Tel-to-IP Alternative Routing table (see
Alternative Routing Based on SIP Responses on page 514) for
Gateway, the device assumes that the proxy is down and sends the
message to the next available proxy (address) in the list.
Proxy Load Balancing

Enables load balancing between proxy servers of the Proxy Set.

Disable = (Default) Disables proxy load balancing.

Round Robin = The device does proxy load-balancing by equally
distributing the sending of SIP messages to the IP addresses (proxy
servers) in the Proxy Set (configured or DNS-resolved) that are
considered online (i.e., successful keep-alive). For Gateway calls,
REGISTER messages are also distributed you configure a specific
registrar server address (RegistrarIP). The device sends SIP messages
to each server in turn in the list. When it reaches the end of the list, the
device goes down the list again (sends the next request to the first
listed address).

Random Weights = The outgoing requests are not distributed
equally among the IP addresses (proxy servers). The weights are
received from the DNS server, using SRV records. The device sends
the requests in such a fashion that each proxy receives a percentage of
the requests according to its' assigned weight. A single FQDN should
be configured as a proxy IP address. Random Weights Load Balancing
is not used in the following scenarios:
More than one IP address has been configured for the Proxy Set.
The proxy address is not configured as an FQDN (only IP address).
SRV is disabled (see the DNSQueryType parameter).
The SRV response includes several records with a different Priority
value.
