Increase the density level.

Is the paper damp?
Solution:
Some areas of a document will not reproduce and there will be a
loss of sharpness if the paper is damp. Replace the paper with
paper from an unopened package. If the condition does not
improve, contact your Service Representative.
The copy is misaligned or angled.

Was the document correctly aligned with the document
insertion guide when scanned?
Solution:
Align the document with the document insertion guide when
scanning.
It is not possible to copy in the required size.

Was the document misaligned or skewed when scanned?
Solution:
Feed the document correctly.

Are the auto mode settings incorrect?
Solution:
Set up the auto mode settings correctly.
Black lines are printed on the copy.

Solution:
Clean the scanner.
