Scan Start Position
Document scanning (image acquisition) normally starts at the top, left-hand
corner of the document. The scan start position feature enables the user to
change the location where the scanner begins acquiring the image data. This
feature is useful because it eliminates unnecessary image detail from copies.
When [Synchronized] is selected as the [Media Cut Mode], the cut will occur at a
point which is equal to the scan start position plus the length of the document.
Up/Down
Specifies the scan start position in a range from 0 to +/–999 mm (in 1
mm increments), with the top edge of the document set as a standard
[0].
Left/Right
Specifies the scan start position in a range of 0 to +/–999 mm (in
increments of 1 mm) with the top left edge of the document set as a
standard [0].
•
The scan starting position is applied to the media. It is not affected by R/E settings.
