Custom Presets
Most system administration functions are performed through the Custom Presets feature.
Changing the custom presets overrides the factory (default) settings that were in effect
when the machine was installed. Users typically change the custom presets to customize
the machine for their unique operating needs.
There are two subsets of features within the custom presets - the System Presets and the
Copy Features. The System Presets affect general machine behavior. The Copy Features
determine how the machine performs copying tasks, such as image processing and
image editing.
In addition to providing access to the Custom Presets, pressing the <Custom Presets/
Meter Check> key enables the user to do the following.
•
View the billing meter readings.
•
View the machine software version and system configuration information.
•
Define the default sizes, types, and weights of media that will be used in the machine.
•
Set up the document size series for automatic size detection purposes.
