12.2

Cleaning the Scanner

The scanner requires periodic cleaning to remove contamination from scanned originals.

Procedure

Lift the top of the scanner until the lock on the

left engages, holding the scanner in the open

position.

Clean the scanning area with a clean, soft, dry

cloth. Wipe the scanning area completely.

While holding the top of the scanner in a raised

position, unlock it by pulling the lever shown in

the illustration in the direction of the arrow.

Close the top of the scanner.
