Edge Erase
Edge erase removes image detail from the outer edges of the document (top,
bottom, left, and right edges). Edge erase can be set up to erase from 0 to 50
mm of the edges, in increments of 1 mm.
Edge erase can only be used when copying on standard size media.
If edge erase is selected for a document that is longer than the standard size,
the trail edge may copy blank.
Lead Edge
Erase
Erases image detail from the lead edge (the edge fed into the
scanner/top) of the document.
Trail Edge
Erase
Erases image detail from the trail edge (bottom) of the document.
Left Erase
Erases image detail from the left edge of the document.
Right Erase
Erases image detail from the right edge of the document.

The edge erase settings are applied to the media. They are not affected by R/E
settings.
