Multi ECDIS workstations in LAN

When ENC (or ARCS) chart installation and update is one workstation ECDIS gives the
possibility to copy the updated database over the network making automatic the update of
all ENC databases of installed together with ECDIS on the LAN.

Proceed as follow:

1.

Install and/or update ENC database on the planning station.

2.

In Chart handling dialog click the 

Copy database

 button.

3.

The list of remote PC running ECDIS and connected to the LAN is listed in the dialog .

4.

Select the PC(s) on which the ENC should be copied and click the 

Copy Database

button.

Notifications

Some of the important information is displayed at the top of the chart area. The notifications
of the following situation exist:

•

Chart overlapping: when two cells with equal scales and usage overlap on the screen.

•

Chart information is not up to date: when the displayed chart area contains charts with
not up to date status. The indication is displayed while the chart status is changed or the
chart is moved from the displayed chart area.

•

NON ENC Data available! Refer to paper chart.

•

Manual cells loading is activated!

•

Some installed cells are not displayed due to invalid or absent cell permit.

•

Permits of some ENC cells are expired. These cells may be out of date and MUST NOT be
used for Primary NAVIGATION.

•

SSE27 - Some ENC is not up to date. A New Edition, Re-issue or Update for this cell is
missing and therefore MUST NOT be used for Primary NAVIGATION

•

Time dependent objects can be improperly displayed

•

S-63 test data mode is activated. To handle ENC data please switch back to navigation
mode.

ENC status report

You can get charts status report both for a selected chart collection and for charts under a
route.

Select the collection and click the

 ENC Status Report

 button.

To get the status report along the route, right click on the route and select the 

Chart status

report

 item.

The report of chart status along the route is displayed.
