Note:

If several zones or areas have been ordered several codes have been received then

repeat the operation for each zone. The code contained 16 characters and the
application activates the button Add license only if the entered code contains 16
characters.

Installing the permits by file

To install the permits received by file, select the folder that contains the "

permit.txt

" and the

installation is automatic.

Chart update

Updates on C-MAP chart database can be downloaded daily via online communication
(email or Internet/HTTP). To get access to new charts, it is recommended that you receive a
complete updated database regularly via Service or DVD

For more details, contact NAVICO at [email protected].

Update by DVD

A single DVD containing all updated C-MAP charts is automatically sent to each C-MAP
subscriber.

Note:

The chart permits are still valid and must not be re installed.

Update via the Internet (HTTP)

Proceed as follow:

1.

Establish the communication to your Internet provider.

2.

Click the

Get update from Internet

button in the

Chart handling

dialog.

3.

Then the procedure is automatic and several messages displayed in the

Messages

area

of the dialog give information about the process.

The Copy database function allows a user to update other ECDIS station by LAN after Update
is completed. See

"Copy database"

on page 82 for more details.

Update via email

Proceed as follow:

1.

Create an update request by clicking the

Create order

button

2.

A file called UPDATES.ORD containing all necessary information is created.

3.

From a communication computer on-board or from a shored-based PC, send an email
with the file UPDATES.ORD as attachment. The address of C-MAP Update server is
[email protected].

4.

The request is processed and updates returned by email.

5.

Copy attached files containing updates (u00100N.ans to u00N00N.ans) on a memory stick
and insert it in the ECDIS PC.

6.

Click the

Chart handling

button and select the

C-Map

tab :

7.

Click the

Get updates from file

button and select the file to update the database.

The

Copy database

function allows updating other ECDIS station by LAN after update is

completed.
