Lock a configuration

It is recommended to lock the editing once the configuration is properly defined to avoid
unwanted changes.

To lock, tick the

Freeze configuration

checkbox.

Loading a configuration

The

Console configuration options

dialog enables mariners to choose an existing

configuration to be defined in the system.

Select from the drop down list and click the

Apply

button.

Configuring ECDIS time settings

The ECDIS900 system operates using local time. Local time is calculated from UTC time and
time zone information.

The UTC time is adjusted from GPS by default.

Tick the

Adjust from GPS

checkbox to set the time based on the GPS data.

Tick off the

Use PC time

checkbox to manually set the UTC date and time.

Tick on the

Use PC time

checkbox to use the PC date and time.

Note:

The time zone is by default displayed with the plus

and the minus

sign for the Eastern hemisphere.

The

Chart time area

contains time and date parameters for the charts. By default, the

parameters are synchronized with the ECDIS time. When the synchronization is off, the
warning symbol is displayed on the Legend panel.

To display time dependent objects, tick the

Time dependent display

checkbox and set the

required dates.

Configuring a back up data

To save a backup data, select the type of data by ticking on/off the checkbox and click the

Save

button.

Data can be saved in the hard disk or in any computer connected in the LAN.
