Ship profile management
This module is specially designed to suit the Pilot needs. The Pilot builds his own Ship’s

A ship’s profile contains all ship’s and safety parameters settings including:
•
Ship’s name, call sign, length, width, draught etc.
•
Position of GPS and Radar antennas

Updating own ship data
It is possible to update the ship data in the ship library based on the own ship data received
from the pilot plug of the AIS transponder.
When receiving own ship data for the first time after connecting to an AIS-transponder, the
ECDIS900 checks if there are any discrepancies on the received data and the data (if there's
any) of the same ship stored in the ship library.
If there are any discrepancies, or if the ship is not already present in the ship library, the
ECDIS900 presents data and the discrepancies to the user, and ask whether the data in the
ship library shall be updated.
The user has the option to select which data to be used, whether the existing data in the ship
library, or data received by the AIS.
