If any discrepancy exists, ECDIS900 proposes to synchronize the data with the data received
from AIS transponder.
Voyage data has to be entered in the AIS transponder for each voyage.
When a route is activated in ECDIS900, the voyage data is calculated by the ECDIS.
These data can be sent automatically to the AIS transponder, but you can manually enter
data and send it to an AIS transponder.
The voyage information is displayed and entered in the Voyage tab in the Ship properties
dialog. The option Manual entry must be checked to be able to enter manually the voyage
data (see
"Modifying the voyage information"
Ship and voyage data are automatically sent via the serial link to the AIS transponder.
AIS target display
The AIS target symbol is a blue triangle with a speed vector (dotted line) and the COG vector
(continuous line). The speed vector length depends on the speed of the target (true vector)
or on both own ship and target speed (relative vector).
By default AIS target outline is not displayed. To display the scaled ship icon (outline), tick on
the proper option in the AIS Sleeping and assosiation. See
details.
