Activate the start frequency and set the instrument to the start frequency/stop frequency mode. Adjust
the start frequency with a figure key, a step key or a rotary knob. If the start frequency set is greater than
the stop frequency, the start frequency is automatically set to equal the stop frequency.
[Stop Freq]
Activate the stop frequency, and set the instrument to start/stop frequency mode. Adjust the stop
frequency with a figure key, a step key or a rotary knob. If the stop frequency set is smaller than the start
frequency, the stop frequency is automatically set to equal the start frequency.
[Start Dist]
Set the starting distance of the DTF measurement. After the setting tab is popped up, press the numeric
keys to input the value to be set, press the corresponding menu button to complete the parameter setting,
or adjust it by the step key or the rotary knob.
[Stop Dist]
Set the stop distance of the DTF measurement. After the setting tab is popped up, press the numeric
keys to enter the value to be set, press the corresponding menu button to complete the parameter
setting, or adjust it by the step key or the rotary knob.
[Cable Specification]
Switch to the setting menu of cable specification, including [Corr Mode Man Auto], [Velocity], [Cable
Loss], [Recall Cable], [Edit Cable], [Save Cable] etc.
[Corr Mode Man Auto]
Set the cable parameter method applied. When manually setting, use the menu item to set and display
the rate factor and cable loss. When automatically setting, use the parameters of the loaded cable
model.
[Velocity]
Set the velocity for DTF measurements, which is valid when the correction mode is manual. After the
setting tab is popped up, enter the value to be set with numeric keys, press the [OK] key to complete the
parameter setting, or adjust it by the step key or rotary knob.
[Recall cable]
Recall the edited cable model. In the pop-up cable model list, select the cable model to be recalled,
press [Recall] or [OK] to recall the cable model. The cable parameters of the cable model are valid when
the correction mode is automatic.
[Edit Cable]
In the pop-upped edit Cable dialog box, set the velocity and the cable loss at each frequency point to
define a new cable model. After editing is complete, press [Done] to complete the cable parameter
setting.
[Save Cable]
In the pop-upped file naming box, edit the name of the cable model and press [OK] to complete the
saving of the current cable model.
[Unit M ft]
Set the type of distance unit used for DTF measurements.
[Window]
Switch to the window function selection menu and set the window function according to the
corresponding menu item: rectangular window, nominal side lobe, low side lobe and minimum side lobe.
