Set span quickly
Set the span quickly by the following steps:
a)
Press
【
Frep
】
→ [Span] ;
b)
[Span]: used to enter the current span;
c)
[Full Span]: Set the span to the maximum span of the S5105D/E/F microwave analyzer;
d)
[Zero Span]: Set the span to zero and to locate at the center of the center frequency at that time;
the sweep local oscillator of the microwave analyzer at zero span is fixed at a certain frequency,
that is, the local oscillator is not swept (span is equal to zero), the microwave analyzer becomes a
fixed-tuned receiver at this time, and the bandwidth of the receiver is the resolution bandwidth;
e)
[Span Pre]: set the span to the previously set value;
f)
Under the [Span] soft menu, press the [↑] /[↓] key or the rotary knob to change the span.

Step Frequency Setting
Set the step frequency by following these steps:
a)

Enter the step frequency value with the numeric keys and select the frequency unit by pressing the
corresponding soft key.
In automatic mode, the default frequency step value is 1MHz. The step value can be set from 1Hz to
5GHz. In the manual mode, the stepping amount of the center frequency can be adjusted with the figure
keys, step keys or the rotary knob. At this time, activate [Center Freq] and press the step key, the center
frequency will change according to the set step amount. This feature is very useful for quickly adjusting
the center frequency to the harmonics of the input signal. For example: observe the harmonic of 300MHz
input signal, set [Freq Step Auto Man] to manual, and enter 300MHz. If the center frequency is 300MHz
at this time, press the step key to increase the center frequency to 600MHz. Press the step key again to
increase the center frequency to 300MHz and set it to 900MHz. The underlined state in the menu of
[Freq Step Auto Man] indicates whether the step setting is in automatic or manual mode. If the stepping
amount is in manual mode, press the soft key corresponding to the softkey menu [Step Auto man], and
the frequency step returns to the automatic mode, and the step value will return to the default value of
1MHz.

Set the reference level

Type the reference level value with the numeric keys and stop the input by pressing the
corresponding amplitude unit on the touch screen, or adjust the reference level with stepping key or
the rotary knob.

Set Measurement Range
Manual setting
If user wants to manually set the panel to display the power measurement range based on the user
requirements, please perform the following operations:
