Response error correction for transmission measurement
a)
Select the measurement type as required in the VNA mode:
To measure forward transmission (S21), press
【

→[S21].
To measure reverse transmission (S12), press

→[S12].
b) Set other parameters for device measurement, including the start frequency, stop frequency, output
power, sweep points or IF bandwidth.
c) Press

Calibrate

to open the calibration menu.
d) Select the frequency response error correction function, press [M Cal>]→[Freq Resp.>]→ THRU
S12>] or[THRU S21>] to pop up a prompt automatically “Connect Thru cable between P1 and
P2,then press corresp. menu button to start!”. Connect the N-type cable between P1 and P2 at
this time.
NOTE:
All adapters and cables to be used for device measurement shall be
prepared, that is, to connect the standard device to the position for
measurement.
e) After the trace is stable, press [THRU] to prompt “Calibrating standard piece measurement...” during
standard piece measurement, and show underline indicating item test completion after
measurement and error factor calculation.
f)
Press [Done] to complete the transmission measurement error correction. The DUT can be
