Select Measurement Format
The vector voltage measurement mode of the microwave analyzer measures the amplitude, phase,
standing wave ratio and impedance of the device under test.
a)
Press
【
Measure
】
-> [Format] ;
b)
Select different measurement parameters via the menu soft key, and the default is dB format.
[dB], select the measurement parameter as the amplitude, and display it as the amplitude value and
phase value information; [VSWR], select the measurement parameter as the standing wave ratio;
[Re/Im], select the test parameter as the impedance, and display the real part value and imaginary part
value information.
6
Set the type of measurement
For one port measurement, keep the default settings of instrument.
For dual port measurements, please perform the following operations:
a)
Press
【
Measure
】
→ [Meas Type Rf/Tr], switch to [Meas Type Rf/Tr], and change the default
measurement from reflection to transmission.

Set Output Power
It is used to set the output power of the microwave analyzer source, including the high power, low power
and manually-entered power. The actual output power varies with the microwave analyzer model. Steps
for setting the output function are as follow:
a)
Press the
【
Amplitude
】
and select [High] or [Low] on the touch screen to select the required power.
To improve the output power accuracy, follow the steps below to set it manually:
a)
Press [Man -18dBm] to select the manual input power;
b)
Use the numeric keys to enter the number and select the unit on the touch screen to complete the
input or adjust the manual power by turning the wheel or pressing [↑] [↓] .
Section 2 Menu Description
This Section introduces the menu structure and menu details of the S5105D/E/F microwave analyzer
in vector voltage mode.
1
Menu Structure
The vector voltage measurement mode mainly has four groups of menus “Measurement”, “Calibration”,
“File” and “Amplitude”. The “frequency” can be directly input by the frequency hard key, and “calibration”
can refer to the vector grid analysis mode, while the “File” refers to the file management introduction of
