[Default scale]
It indicates that all options related to amplitude setting in the rectangular format is the default startup
values.
[Ref Value]
The reference level refers to the value of the reference line in the rectangular coordinate format, and the
setting range in the logarithmic return loss format is: -500dB to +500dB. The reference value is 0 by
default.
[Ref Pos]
It refers to the reference line position in the rectangular chart, with the default value of 5.
[Scale]
Changing the value of the option is to adjust the display scale of the measurement curve.

Set output power
It is used to set the output power of the microwave analyzer source, including the high power, low power
and manually-entered power. The actual output power varies with the microwave analyzer model. Steps
for setting the output function are as follow:
a) Press
【
Amplitude
】
→ [Power High] , press soft key [High ] or [Low] to select the required power;
To improve the output power accuracy, follow the steps below to set it manually:
a) Press the soft key [Man -18dBm] to select the manual input power;
b) Complete the input by typing the number with numeric keys and selecting the unit in the touch
screen and adjust the manual power by turning the wheel or pressing [↑] [↓] .
Section 4 Bandwidth Settings
This Section describes the detailed settings of the measurement bandwidth in the antenna and cable
test mode of S5105D/E/F microwave analyzer , including the setting of the IF bandwidth, as well as
the smooth average switch and smooth aperture settings. Press
【
BW
】
to open the bandwidth setting
soft menu.
The microwave analyzer converts the response signal received to the IF signal with lower frequency for
processing, and the bandwidth of the IF band-pass filter is called the IF bandwidth. In the antenna and
cable test mode of S5105D/E/F microwave analyzer, the IF bandwidth is set from 100 kHz down to 1 Hz
and is changed in steps of 1, 3, and 10. Reducing the IF bandwidth can lower the impact of the random
noise on the measurements (reducing 10 times of the IF bandwidth can lower the noise base by 10dB),
but it can prolong the sweep time. The microwave analyzer can set IF bandwidth for sweeping each
channel or section.
Follow the steps below to set the IF bandwidth:
Press
【
BW
】
→ [IF BW] and manually select or press [↑] [↓] in the touch screen to change the IF
bandwidth value, press [OK] to complete;
Press
【
BW
】
→ [Average On Off] to select the average on or off and manually switch on the touch
screen;
Press
【
BW
】
→ [Avg Factor 16] and press the figure keys to set the average number of times;
Press
【
BW
】
→ [Smooth On Off] and select to open or close the curve smooth and manually switch on
the touch screen ;
Press
【
BW
】
→ [Aperture (%) 10.00], select the smooth aperture percentage, and set the smooth
aperture percentage with the figure keys.
Section 5 Sweep Settings
This Section describes the settings related to sweep in the cable and cable and antenna analyzer mode of
S5105D/E/F microwave analyzer, including sweep time settings, sweep type selection and how to use
