Connection to the electrical system

Connecting the voltage supply
The procedure for connecting the voltage supply cable differs depending on the type of
voltage supply (V
DC
, optional V
AC
).
Each equipment rack features a terminal area, via which the components connected in
the equipment rack are supplied with voltage and are grounded. For this reason, the
corresponding equipment racks must be connected to the voltage supply on site.
Two connectors each have been provided on the connection panel for this purpose
(each with grounding "+“ and "-“), refer to Figure 5.2.

The procedures for connecting the V
DC
and V
AC
voltage supply are described in the fol-
lowing sections.
If the AC and DC voltage supply cables are connected at the same time, the
product/system may be damaged. The DIB-500 R4.1 can optionally be operated
with an AC or DC voltage supply.

Never connect the AC and DC voltage supply cables at the same time.

The connection must be made by an electrician.
