The procedure for connecting the antenna(s) to one equipment rack is described in the
following.
Proceed as follows to connect an antenna / antennas:
Preparation:

The site must be prepared in compliance with the document "Site Requirements“.
✓
The equipment rack must be connected to the grounding system.
✓
Appropriate antenna cables of the required lengths must be available.
✓
The toggle switches must be set to the "Off" position ("downward" switch position).
Carry out the following steps:
If cables are routed over sharp edges or in bending radiuses too small for the
cables, the cables may be damaged.

Connect the required antennas (antenna A, B and GPS) to the corresponding con-
nectors on the top of the equipment rack, refer to Figure 5.14 on page 94.

The antennas have thus been connected.
5.4 Connecting external alarm sensors
The DIB-500 R4.1 features two external alarm inputs that are connected via the "Alarm
in" LSA+ strip on the connection panel of the product, refer to Figure 5.15. The assign-
ment of the external alarm inputs is controlled project-specifically.
The procedure for connecting external alarm sensors is described in the following.
Proceed as follows to connect external alarm sensors:

The connecting cables provided must comply with the site requirements.
Carry out the following steps:

Connect the corresponding wires of the external alarm sensors to the terminals on
the LSA+ strip.
