2. Connect the free SMT cable to the service connection of the TIB/TOB, refer to Fig-

The SMT has thus been connected.
Connecting the service computer (serially)
The procedure for connecting the service computer is described in the following.
Connecting the service computer
Preparation:

You need the tools and aids specified in section 5.8.1 on page 116.
✓
The SMT must be connected already.
✓
The service computer must have been started already.
✓
The ON/OFF switch(es) in the connection panel must be in the "ON" switch posi-
tion (switch position "up").
Carry out the following steps:

Connect serial port of the SMT with the serial port of the service computer. If
required, use the 1:1 serial cable as an extension.

The service computer has been connected.

The procedure for connecting the service computer is described in the following.

The service computer must have been started.
