Installation
Connecting equipment racks (as of 5 carriers)
Connecting the voltage supply of the top hat rail power supply unit
The voltage supply of the top-hat rail power supply unit is connected directly via the cor-
responding terminals of the connection panel.
Figure 4.9 shows the corresponding terminals of the connection panel, to which the
wires of one of the voltage supply cables must be connected. The associated table
describes them in detail.

The procedure for connecting the voltage supply cable for the top hat rail power supply
unit is described in the following.
Proceed as follows to connect the voltage supply cable of the top hat rail power supply
unit:

You need the tools and aids described in section 4.4.2.1Tools and aids.

The network element must have been put out of operation temporarily, refer to sec-
tion 6.1 on page 133.

The top cover of the equipment rack must have been removed.
