Installation and Operation Manual 90DIB500IM02 – 5.2
5.8 Setting a cavity coupler to the TX frequency
The cavity coupler(s) must be set to the Tx frequency of the connected carrier. To make
this adjustment, the corresponding Tx carrier signal is isolated and the Tx frequency is
adjusted with the hand wheel of the cavity coupler, until the maximum transmission
power is reached at the antenna connector.
Procedure described refers to one cavity coupler
The procedure described in the following refers to one cavity coupler. Depending on the
DIB-500 R4.1 variant, the work steps may have to be repeated for further cavity cou-
plers.
The procedure for setting a cavity coupler to the Tx frequency is described in the follow-
ing.

Tools and aids
You need the following tools and aids to adjust a cavity combiner:
|
Service computer set up appropriately, refer to the "Service Computer for ACCESS-
NET
®
-T“ Requirement Manual.
|
VSWR measuring instrument, recommended:
R&S NRT:
R&S NRT measuring device and the appropriate adapter
NRT-Z44 measuring head and the appropriate adapter
|
RF connecting cable for connection with the VSWR measuring instrument
|
Safety gloves
|
Dummy load if required (50
Ω
)
|
Screw driver/spanner for loosening the mounting screw of the cavity combiner as
required (depending on the variant)
5.8.2
Setting the output power
To reset the cavity coupler to the original frequency, the output power must first be set to
a standard value.
The procedure for setting the cavity coupler to a standard value is described in the fol-
lowing.
Proceed as follows to set the output power to a standard value:
Preparation:
✓
You need the tools and aids described in section "Tools and aids“ on page 116 .
✓
The current transmission power and frequency must be known.
✓
The ON/OFF switches in the connection panel must be in the "On“ ("top" switch
position) position.
