Installation
Connecting equipment racks (as of 5 carriers)
Connecting voltage supply cables to the top hat rail power supply unit
The voltage supply cables must be connected to the top hat rail power supply unit
before the power supply unit is installed.
Figure 4.10 shows the top hat rail power supply unit. The related table describes the
required terminals in detail.

The procedure for connecting voltage supply cables to the top hat rail power supply unit
is described in the following.
Proceed as follows to connect the voltage supply cable to the top hat rail power supply
unit:
Preparation:

The network element must have been put out of operation temporarily, refer to sec-
tion 6.1 on page 133.

The top cover of the equipment rack must have been removed.
✓
You need the tools and aids described in section 4.4.2.1 .
