7 Recommissioning
The present chapter describes the procedure for recommissioning the product properly.
The following recommissioning situations are distinguished:

7.1 Recommissioning after a temporary service interrup-
tion
To recommission the product, you either have to connect the equipment rack to the volt-
age source or switch it on, depending on the connection variant.
Table 7.1 provides an overview of possible connection types and describes required
procedures for connection to the voltage source.
When switching on the product, all the network and hardware components will automat-
ically be started. After about three to five minutes, all network and hardware compo-
nents have started up and are ready for operation.
The procedure for recommissioning after a temporary service interruption is described
in the following with the example of an equipment rack.
Proceed as follows to recommission a network element after a temporary service inter-
ruption:
Preparation:

The equipment rack must be connected to the grounding system.

The voltage source on site must be switched off.
Carry out the following steps:
1. Connect the equipment rack to the voltage source on site depending on the con-
nection variant, refer to Table 7.1 on page 137
2. Switch on the voltage source on site.
