3.2.5
Fan unit
The fan unit is a hardware component made up of one fan subrack per TIB module.
Depending on the variant, up to two fan subracks - made up of a fan and a fan filter mat
- are thus integrated in each equipment cabinet. The fan unit serves for optimum verti-
cal venting of the components installed inside the equipment cabinet and for filtering the
dirt and dust particles contained in the air.
